LYNCHBURG, Va. – Colleen Gonzalez has been hired as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Randolph College through the two-year NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant.
Randolph is one of 20 selected schools among 450 Division III colleges and 40 athletic conferences to receive the grant.
Gonzalez recently served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at the State University of New York at New Paltz where she was the primary contact for eight of the school's 15 varsity sports, including the nationally ranked men's volleyball team which won the College's first NCAA title in 2016.
Not a stranger to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, Gonzalez worked as a Media Relations Assistant at Bridgewater College during the 2014-15 academic year, where she was the primary contact for volleyball, cross country, track and field and softball.
Gonzalez began her career as a Sports Information Assistant at Guilford College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2014 and was a four-year member of the cross country and track and field teams.
