Randolph SAAC to Participate in ODAC Food Drive

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be collecting canned food on Saturday, Nov. 10 during the men's and women's basketball games as part of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) initiative.

The ODAC is having its first conference-wide food drive where each member school will compete to see who can collect the most non-perishable food items.

All donations will go to Park View Community Mission, a local nonprofit organization that helps provide to families and individuals in need through empowerment and education to help them be free from a life of poverty.

Randolph fans can help by bringing in the most needed items listed below:

  • Hamburger Helper
  • Rice
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Stuffing mix
  • Canned meats 
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Chef Boyardee
  • Canned Fruit
  • Juice

There will be a donation bin located at the concession stand at the home basketball games on Nov. 10. Anyone who donates will receive a free bag of popcorn.
