The Randolph College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our WildCat of the Week. The 23rd student-athlete selected this year is men's basketball player Corey Brown.
Brown was tremendous in the four games in the ODAC Tournament. He averaged 13.5 points per game over the four games, including tallying double-figures in every game at the Salem Civic Center. He helped the team advance to the Championship game, and his play earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
What have you gained from being a part of this great program?
I have gained extended family and a better sense of the type of person I am. Multiple experiences that I will cherish forever with a great group of guys surrounding And supporting me.
What is your favorite thing about Randolph College?
My favorite thing about Randolph would definitely be the basketball family I was able to be a part of.
How has being a student-athlete affected you?
Being a student athlete has taken up a majority of my time but with that I have learned how to balance priorities on a bigger scale.
How will you look back at your final experience in the tournament?
My final tournament experience was filled with the thrills that I'm sure many players dream about. As we made a great run and had a tremendous amount of fun throughout we realized we were all in together. Even though it didn't end how we wanted it. We know what's at stake in big games like that. To me that's what makes the experience all the more fun. It will be cherished for the rest of my life with my brothers included.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
My final thing to add is #TeamTogether.
