LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph men's basketball hosted Roanoke on Wednesday night at the RAD Center. The Maroons held the WildCats in check as they won by the score of 72-43. Roanoke improves to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the ODAC while the 'Cats drop to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Sammy Hooper (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) was the lone WildCat to reach double figures as he put up 11 points. Reid Jacoby (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) added six points, three assists, and two rebounds.

It was a 13-7 at 12:56 of the first half after a jumper from Nick Goble (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park). Roanoke responded with a three-point basket from Eli Sumpter to go ahead 16-7. The teams traded missed shots until CJ Miles made a layup with just under 11 minutes remaining in the half and the Randolph could no closer for the remainder of the contest.

Randolph had its lowest shooting percentage to date with a 27.8% conversion of its shots from the floor. The WildCats were also good on only 21.7% of their three-point attempts.

The WildCats travel to Shenandoah on Saturday to face the Hornets in another ODAC matchup. Game time will be at 2:00 p.m.
