    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Head Randolph men’s basketball coach Pete Hamilton has announced the addition of Cam Shepherd ’11 to his coaching staff. Shepherd is a 2011 graduate of Randolph.
  • Dula, Smith Reflect on International Experience

    Men’s basketball student-athletes Justin Dula and Brian Smith recently returned from a 10-day trip through Ireland as members of a select USA team through USA Athletes International that played contests throughout the country. The Irish Roots Basketball Tour included stops in Dublin, Limerick, Cork, and Belfast. The team went 5-0.
  • Randolph Falls to Randolph-Macon in ODAC Quarterfinals

    SALEM, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team opened the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon. The #9 seed WildCats took on #1 seed Randolph-Macon and the Yellow Jackets with coming out on top with a 79-42 win to advance the semifinals.

  • Hooper Named to Men’s Basketball All-ODAC Third Team

    SALEM, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released its Men’s Basketball All-Conference teams on Wednesday. Senior guard Sammy Hooper (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) was named to the Third Team. This is the first selection of his career.
  • WildCats Defeat Eagles 88-80 in First Round of ODAC Tournament

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- Brian Smith (Dumfries, Va./C.D. Hylton) has the tendency to show up in big games. A year ago, Smith dropped 25 points as the WildCats upset Virginia Wesleyan 57-54 in the First Round of the ODAC Tournament. Smith duplicated the same effort on Monday night as he scored 27 points to lead Randolph to an 88-80 win over Bridgewater and advance the ’Cats to Salem, Va. to the Quarterfinals.
  • WildCats Defeat Hornets 76-61 in Regular Season Finale

    WINCHESTER, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team ended the regular season on a high note as it defeated Shenandoah 76-61 on Friday night at the Wilkins Center. With the victory, Randolph sweeps the season series from SU for the first time since 2014-15.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team hosted Washington and Lee on Wednesday night at the RAD Center. The teams were tied at halftime but the Generals ran away from the WildCats in the second half as they went on to win 93-66.
  • WildCats Fall to #7 Randolph-Macon 87-45

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Visiting Randolph-Macon led from start to finish as the #7 Yellowjackets defeated Randolph 87-45 on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center. RMC improves to 22-2 overall and 14-1 in the ODAC while the WildCats drop to 10-13 and 5-9 in the conference.

    EMORY, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team got a huge victory on the road on Wednesday night as they took down defending conference champion Emory and Henry 84-76. The victory was the first over the Wasps in four years.
  • Men’s Hoops Erases Early Deficit to Defeat EMU 62-56

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph trailed by double digits late in the first half against Eastern Mennonite but outscored the Royals 35-22 in the second half to win 62-56 on Wednesday night at the RAD Center. The win ups the WildCats’ overall record to 9-12 and 4-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while the Royals fall to 9-11 and 4-7 in the ODAC.
  • Men’s Hoops Reaches Century Mark in Victory over Hornets

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Five Randolph players reached double figures as Randolph men’s basketball shot a season-best 64.1% from the floor in defeating Shenandoah 100-72 on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center. The 100 points scored by Randolph is just the second time in program history that it has been achieved and the first time since 2007. It is also the first time it has been done over a conference opponent.
  • Men’s Hoops Falls to Roanoke 73-51

    SALEM, Va.- Host Roanoke built up a 41-25 halftime lead on visiting Randolph and the Marrons used that to come away with a 73-51 win on Wednesday night. Randolph drops to 7-12 overall and 2-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while Roanoke improves to 14-5 and 7-3 in the conference.

    ASHLAND, VA.- The Randolph men’s basketball team took on #16 Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon. The Yelow Jackets won by the score of 92-47.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph men’s basketball outscored visiting Hampden-Sydney 45-32 in the second half as the WildCats claimed a 73-59 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday night. The ‘Cats shot 53% from the field in the second half to take down HS-C.
  • Guilford Edges Out WildCats 60-52

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Having just played 10 days ago in Greensboro, Randolph and Guilford men’s basketball faced off again at the RAD Center on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats stormed back from a double-digit first half deficit but the Quakers held off the ’Cats in the end as they won 60-52.
  • Comeback Falls Short for Randolph Men at Ferrum
    January 09, 2019
    FERRUM, Va.- Randolph closed a nine-point deficit late in the second half to just one point and nearly sent its game with Ferrum to overtime but ultimately fell to the Panthers 74-72 on Wednesday night. The loss drops Randolph to 6-9 overall and 1-5 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Panthers improve to 3-12 and 2-4 in the conference.
  • WildCats Fall to Marlins in First Home Game of 2019

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- For the first time in 2019, the Randolph men’s basketball team played at the RAD Center as the WildCats took on Virginia Wesleyan. The ’Cats took an early first half lead but Virginia Wesleyan was able to come back and pull away with an 81-69 victory.
  • Men’s Hoops Drops ODAC Contest at Guilford

    GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Wednesday night in its first action of the New Year at Guilford. The WildCats got out to a quick start in the first half but the Quakers recovered as they went on to win 70-62.
  • Randolph Claims Juniata Holiday Tournament Title with 84-80 Win Over Stockton

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Randolph and Stockton men’s basketball teams faced off in the championship game of the Juniata College Comfort Inn Holiday Tournament on Friday afternoon. The WildCats withstood a rally by the Ospreys in the second half and won by the final score of 84-80.
  • WildCats Down Eagles Behind Hooper’s Career Effort

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Randolph men’s basketball team came into its game with Juniata College looking to end its five-game winless streak. Aided by a career high 32 points from Sammy Hooper (Richmond, Va./Midlothian), the WildCats did just that as they defeated the Eagles 71-55 on Thursday night at the Comfort Inn Holiday Tournament. With the victory, the ’Cats record now stands at 5-6. JC drops to 4-6 overall.
  • Randolph Men Fall to Southern Virginia

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team hosted Southern Virginia in the final home game of 2018 on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats trailed by only two points at halftime but the Knights opened the second half with a big run to quickly expand its lead and would go on win 87-68.

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team faced off against Bridgewater in the  second meeting of the season between the two teams on Saturday. The WildCats trailed only by four points at halftime but the Eagles used a big second half to pull away and win by the score of 91-67.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The WildCat men’s basketball team faced off against Mary Washington on the second day of the Wayne Proffitt Classic held at the University of Lynchburg, Randolph kept pace with the Eagles for most of the game but UMW was too much in the end as they won by the score of 75-66.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team did not have to travel far for its game on Saturday as they went across town to the University of Lynchburg to compete in the Wayne Proffitt Classic. The WildCats took on #22 Christopher Newport and fell to the Captains by the final score of 82-48.
  • Men’s Basketball Drops Close Contest with Apprentice 76-74

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph men’s basketball hosted Apprentice School in a non-conference game on Wednesday night at the RAD Center. It was a tight contest for 60 minutes as the visiting Builders were able to come away with a 76-74 win. Apprentice improves to 4-1 on the season while the WildCats drop to 4-2.

    FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Monday announced the Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Randolph sophomore Justin Dula (Taylorsville, N.C./Alexander Central) was bestowed with the honor for the first time in his career.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Sunday afternoon as it hosted Bridgewater in a big Old Dominion Athletic Conference game. The Eagles rallied late in the second half but the WildCats were able to withstand the Bridgewater flurry to win 74-73.
