Each week, Randolph Athletics showcases a question and answer with the WildCat of the Week. This week it is a senior from the men's lacrosse team Brett Pausic.
Pausic had an eight-point day for the WildCats on Sunday against William Peace. He scored four times and assisted on four other goals as Randolph won 14-13 for its first victory of the season. Pausic's unassisted goal with 3:24 left in the fourth quarter was the game winner for Randolph.
What do you like about playing lacrosse here at Randolph?
Lacrosse has been my passion for the last fourteen years so being able to play in the ODAC at a high level has been a lot of fun for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years playing with a bunch of great guys making lifelong friendships.
What is it like to have your brother as a teammate?
We talk a lot about being a family as a team so actually having a family member on the team has been really special for me. This was always our dream growing up as kids so I have tried to enjoy every minute of it with him especially now that it is slowly coming to an end as I graduate this spring.
What is your favorite memory of your time as a member of the WildCats?
My favorite memory as a Wildcat I think would be our big win over St. Mary's my sophomore year. My high school coach actually played lacrosse at St. Mary's so for us to beat his alma mater and give me some bragging rights was a lot of fun. I'll never forget coming back into the locker room and blasting some Jimmy Recard by Drapht after playing some hardnosed lacrosse.
Do you have post-graduation plans as of now?
As of right now my plans are to start my career in the outdoor industry. I have always loved hunting and the outdoors so I hope to keep my passion for those things alive as I move into the "real world". I have also considered coaching lacrosse at the high school level.
