FOREST, Va.- On Monday afternoon, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced its final weekly awards of the fall season. Junior midfielder Adam Watson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was named the Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Watson played a big part in Randolph not only making the ODAC Tournament but advancing to the semifinal round. He dished out an assist on the tying goal as the WildCats scored two second-half tallies to defeat Guilford 2-1 on Tuesday to wrap up the seventh seed in the tournament. Watson then snapped a personal seven-game goalless streak with both scores in the 'Cats' 2-1 quarterfinal victory at #2 Roanoke Saturday night. He converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute before heading home the would-be winner in the 57th minute.
For the season, Watson leads the ODAC with nine goals scored and is second with 21 points. Both represent career highs for a season.
