LEXINGTON, Va. – In its debut, the Randolph College men’s swimming team opened its 2017-18 season with a sixth-place team finish at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Relay meet hosted by Washington and Lee University on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats earned 98 points.
LYNCHBURG, Va. – After a year of waiting, the Randolph College men’s and women’s swim teams are ready to make a statement in the 2017-18 season as the WildCats usher in a new era that brings together its past and its future.
On Tuesday, the Randolph College athletic department honored all of the student-athletes and the accomplishments from this past year. The department gives out nine major awards, with teams handing out individual awards throughout.
Every year, the first week of April signifies NCAA Division III Week, an initiative celebrated around the largest division in the NCAA. Randolph College athletics is one of those joining in the celebration.
In conjunction with the Randolph College 125th Anniversary Celebration, the Randolph College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted a field day for kids from the nursery school. The big kids and the Randolph College Nursery School kids partnered for a fun time for all.
Randolph College is pleased to announce the addition of women’s and men’s swimming programs, which will begin competition in the 2017-2018 academic year. Along with announcement of the new programs, Director of Athletics Tina Hill announced the hiring of Taylor Steele as the new head coach of both programs.
