Men’s Tennis Caps Fall Season with 5-4 Win Over Catholic

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Randolph men's tennis team edged host Catholic University with a 5-4 win on Saturday afternoon to close out its fall season.

Bradley Strober (Stockton, N.J./Hunterdon Central) won first flight singles, 6-0, 7-6 (8) while Daniel Crutcher (Newton, N.C./Maiden) took flight three, 6-4, 7-5. Edgar Ellis (Hickory, N.C./Hickory) defeated his opponent in flight four, 6-1, 6-2 with Nick Lozier winning flight five, 6-0, 6-0.

The tandem of Ellis and Joe Kaneda (Media, Pa./Penncrest) earned Randolph's lone doubles victory as the pair won flight two, 8-6.

Randolph concludes its fall season, 1-1, and will be back on the court when it hosts Ferrum College on February 17.
