Quinn Sets New Record in Last Chance Meet

SWARTHMORE, PA – Swarthmore College hosted the Swat Last Chance Meet on Monday, which featured athletes from several top programs throughout the region.  The meet is one of the final opportunities for these athletes to qualify for the national championships.  Anthony Quinn of the Randolph College men's track and field team was one of those athletes, and he put in his best performance of his career.

Quinn ran in the first section of the 110-meter hurdles, which featured the second, third, 13th, and 17th ranked hurdlers in the country going into the meet.  Quinn went out and finished second in his heat, falling only to an international runner.  He crossed the line in a time of 14.53.  That time set a new school record and moved him into 14th in the country.

With that time, Quinn currently has a spot in the national championship meet, which will begin a week from Thursday.  However, the NCAA will not release the official bids until next week.
