Equestrian Takes Fourth at Winter Tournament of Champions

SAVANNAH, GA.- The Randolph equestrian returned to competition for the first time in 2018 as the WildCats participated in the Winter Tournament of Champions hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). The 'Cats finished fourth overall out of eight schools that compete.

There were several Reserve Champion results for the WildCats. Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) was the runner-up in the Open Fences and Open Flat. Fellow WildCat Carly Stirewalt was the runner-up in the Intermediate Fences and Intermediate Flat. Tidmore was the Reserve Champion in the High Medal.

Charlotte Hudson placed third in the Walk Trot. Caroline Houston (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) was fourth in the Novice Fences. Two other top 10 performances came from Raynah Roberts (Bristol,Va.) in the Novice Flat (7th) and Abby Carpenter Danville, Va./George Washington) in the Walk Trot Canter (8th).

For the year-end standings, Randolph finishes third behind SCAD and Mount Holyoke. Goucher is fourth

Randolph will host its only event of the spring semester on February 10. Start time is at 10:00 a.m.
