Women’s Basketball Falls at Shenandoah

DJ Jackson dribbles the ball

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph College women's basketball team dropped a 70-41 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) decision to host Shenandoah University on Saturday afternoon.

Shenandoah dominated from the onset, outscoring Randolph in three of the four quarters. The final period saw the WildCats grab 16 points to Shenandoah's 11 points but it would not be enough to trim the deficit and the Hornets took home the final 70-41 tally.

Elizabeth Ellen (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) paced Randolph with 10 points while Dominique Jackson (Greensboro, N.C./Ben L. Smith) put up eight points and Corrinne Anderson (Amelia, Va./Blessed Sacrament Huguenot) finished with six points. Kalyn Banks (Clinton, Md./From the Heart Christian School) pulled down a team-high eight boards in the loss while Yanessa Cabrera (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson) dished out seven assists and Sara Bane (Blue Ridge, Va./Lord Botetourt) had three steals.

The WildCats drop to 4-17, 2-12 ODAC and are back home on Wednesday, Feb. 6 when they host Guilford College at 7 p.m. in the RAD.
