WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph College women's lacrosse battled Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) leading Shenandoah University Wednesday evening, dropping a conference tussle to the Hornets 19-2 in action from Shentel Stadium.
The WildCats (4-8/1-6 ODAC) trailed 1-0 just over two minutes into the contest, but got a goal from senior Danielle Haney (Norwood, Pa./Interboro) to tie the match at one. Junior Ashley Edwards (Sumerduck, Va./Liberty-Bealeton) had three ground balls and three draw controls, while Ashley Stevens (Leicester, Mass./St. Peter-Marian) had three ground balls. Junior Samie Maggard (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco), along with sophomores Fran Klostermyer (Princeton, N.J./Montgomery) and Samantha Fagone (Bayshore, N.Y./Bayshore), each had a ground ball to their name.
Shenandoah was paced by the four goals and four assists from Samantha Sisson, while Corrinne Kosmowski had a game-high of five goals. Amy Rollins added four goals and two helpers, and Samantha Donaghy had two scores. Ashley Cross and Bonnie Giovannetti combined to make three saves.
