Randolph Women Fall to Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team took on cross-town rival Lynchburg in an ODAC game on Thursday evening at Shellenberger Field. The Hornets got the best of the WIldCats by a 9-0 score.

With the win, Lynchburg moves to 10-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Randolph drops to 2-7-1 and 0-4 in the league.

The 'Cats used two goalkeepers on the night. Stephanie Quirk (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) got the start and had eight saves while Shelby Lutz (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville) relieved her and came away with one save.

Kennedy Jakubek and Leah Dumas both scored twice to lead the Hornets. Four other players also got into the scoring column for Lynchburg.

Randolph goes to Virginia Beach on Saturday to play Virginia Wesleyan. Game time is at 1:00 p.m.
