FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Wednesday released its All-Conference Team in women's soccer. Randolph was represented by sophomore Sara Bane (Blue Ridge, Va./Lord Botetourt) who was selected to the Third Team.
Bane is the first WildCat player to earn All-Conference honors since Marielle Rando was named to the Third Team in 2011.
A transfer in her first season with Randolph, Bane led the 'Cats with 12 goals and six assists for a total of 30 points. Her 12 goals are the most in a season since Annie Johnson tallied 13 in 2005 and her points are the highest since Johnson had 33 in 2004. Her four game-winning goals are second most in a season. Bane did set the WildCat record for most shots on goal in a season with 56 and averaged 3.5 per game. In the latest NCAA statistical rankings, she is 8th overall in that category.
In the ODAC, Bane is fourth in goals scored, fifth in points, and tied for eighth in assists. She had four multi-goal games and had three or more points six times. In conference play, Bane scored seven goals and dished out three assists for 17 points.
