WildCats Announce Swim Schedule

LYNCHBURG, VA – On Monday, the Randolph College women's and men's swimming teams announced the competition schedules for the 2017-2018 season.  It is a historic moment as it is the inaugural season for the men's swimming team and it is the return of the women's swimming team, which last competed during the 2008-2009 season.

The WildCats will begin swimming at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Relay Meet at Washington and Lee University on October 14.  The first dual will take place the following weekend, as the 'Cats travel to Virginia Beach to take on fellow newcomer Virginia Wesleyan University.

After swimming for the next three Saturdays in dual meets, Randolph will take part in a much larger meet on November 18.  That weekend, both teams head to Hollins University.  The women will race against HU, VWU, and Emory & Henry College in a quad meet.  However, with Hollins being a female-only institution, the men will only have a tri-meet.  It will be interesting, as the Wasps are also a first-year program on the men's side.

The WildCats will take part in an invitational at W&L during the beginning of December before taking a break.   After returning, the teams will once again compete in Lexington, VA.  This time, it will be a dual meet versus the Generals on January 20.

On that following Friday, January 26, the RAD Center will be host to a meet.  The women face Sweet Briar College, while the men take on Hampden-Sydney College.

Randolph wraps up the season at the ODAC Championships in Greensboro, NC during the second weekend of February.
