Women’s Swimming Defeats Greensboro and Ferrum

GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph women's swimming team competed against both Ferrum and Greensboro on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats edged out the Panthers 85-83 and defeated the Pride 98-33.

Two first-year swimmers won on the day for the 'Cats. Grace Driver (Andrews, Texas/Andrews) took first in the 1000 free with a time of 13:20.59 and the 500 free in 6:11.48.  Brice Creel (Lake Placid, Fla./Lake Placid) was the top finisher in the 50 free in 26.62 and in the 100 fly in 1:05.57.

Two Randolph swimmers were unopposed in their events. Leah Dorman (Lynchburg, Va.) touched the wall in the 200 breast in a time of 3:36.19. Libby Exline (Sykesville, Md./ La Plata) posted a time of 3:05.16 in the 200 IM.

The WildCats will next compete at the Greensboro Invitational on November 17.
