LEXINGTON, Va.- The Randolph women's swimming team wrapped up the second day of competition at the Washington and Lee Invite on Sunday. The WildCats came in fifth with a total of 164 points.
The best individual finish came from Grace Driver (Andrews, Texas/Andrews) in the 1650 free. She was sixth with a time of 21:25.51. Driver was also 14th in the 200 free (2:15.39) and the 500 free (6:09.47).
Jessica Williams (Sacramento, Calif./John F Kennedy) was 11th in the 100 back (1:20.18) and 14th (2:57.20) in the 200 back. Libby Exline (Sykesville, Md./La Plata) placed 11th in the 200 breast (3:09.75) and 14th in the 100 breast (1:23.17). Brice Creel (Lake Placid, Fla./Lake Placid) came in 11th in the 100 fly (1:04.78) and the 100 free (56.01). Her time in the 100 free was a season best.
Three relay teams had top 10 finishes. The 800 Free relay squad of Creel, Sarah Perry (Rocky Mount, Va./Franklin County) Exline, and Driver were sixth with a time of 8:49.44. The 200 medley quartet of Driver, Leah Dorman (Lynchburg, Va.), Creel and Perry were eighth in 2:10.50. The 400 free relay team of Creel, Perry, Exline, and Driver were also eighth in 4:20.21 and the same team was eighth in the 400 medley relay (4:50.51).
The WildCats will be idle until January 12 when the team competes at Randolph-Macon. Start time for the meet will be at 1:00 p.m.
