WildCat of the Week: Keyu Jin

Keyu Jin WildCat of the Week

Each week, the Randolph College athletics department showcases a question and answer with our WildCat of the Week. This week is a sophomore from the women's tennis team Keyu Jin.

Jin was named the ODAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week on Monday for her performances last week. She won both of her singles matches against opponents from Roanoke and Virginia Wesleyan to up her record to 8-3 in dual matches and 5-2 in conference play. Jin also won in doubles play paired with teammate Aubrey Hawn.

 

How did you hear about Randolph?

I heard about Randolph because coach Megginson emailed me after the tennis showcase held in Yale University.

Why did you want to come here?

Randolph offers me better academic scholarships than other schools do.

What do you like about Randolph?

I really enjoy this small size of school where I can get more opportunities in both academics and sports.

How did you find adjusting to a different culture when you came here?

I learned about many differences between my culture and American culture, so many things are as similar as I expected. I also try to talk with people especially my teammates.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like hanging out with my friends, going shopping, watching movies, etc
