Track and Field Heads to NC for Final ODAC Tune-Up

LYNCHBURG, VA – With the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Indoor Championships 10 days away, the Randolph College indoor track and field teams will warm-up for the meet for the final time this Saturday.  The WildCats will travel to Winston-Salem, NC for the UCS Invitational.

The UCS Invitational is held at the JDL Fast Track facility and the meet and the facility draw the best in the region.  This year, there will be 35 teams from 10 different states, representing every NCAA Division and the NAIA.  In addition to having most of the DII schools in the area and many DI institutions, several ODAC teams will also be in attendance for this meet.

This meet is loaded for several reasons.  The first is that with conference championships around the corner, many teams come to make final preparations.  The facility is located in range of many teams and it is considered one of the fastest tracks to run in, hence the name.  Teams regularly set new records and many National qualifiers come out of this meet.

Events on Saturday will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the host will provide live updates.  The results can be found at http://jdl.liveresults.io/tf/2017-ucs-invitational.
