Q&A with WildCat of the Week Noelle Wojciechowski

The Randolph College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our WildCat of the Week. The 8th student-athlete selected this year is volleyball player Noelle Wojciechowski.

Wojciechowski had a great week for the WildCats.  She played in both important comeback wins for the 'Cats.  In the two wins she collected 21 kills, hitting .400.  She had only one error in 50 attack attempts, including none in the 3-1 win over Bridgewater.  She also added four aces and six blocks in the two matches.  For her efforts she was named to the ODAC Honor Roll.

What is your favorite thing about Randolph College?

We have a lot of First Years this season and our success in these last two home games has shown to me that we are finally jelling on the court. We now know what it takes to win a game: putting in 100% effort in practice and the game and playing together. Because of our last three wins I feel like we are finally reaping the rewards of our hard work. I think everyone realizes now that we could take any game in the conference, including Lynchburg, and since we have a shot at making the tournament with this win, we will go into the game with that winning mindset.

What is your favorite thing about Randolph College?

I love Randolph College because it is a close-knit community. We have a lot of support here from peers, coaches, staff, parents and professors and it's not difficult to get involved on campus in some way.

How has being a student-athlete affected you?

Being a student-athlete also with a campus job has done wonders for my time management skills. Not only that, it's very comforting to know I have a close circle of people I get to practice with every day and coaches who dedicate so much time to improve us as players and as people. Volleyball has provided me an escape and a source of pride and fulfillment.

What is your favorite thing about Randolph College volleyball?

My favorite thing about Randolph Volleyball is that we know how to get back up when we're down! (That Guilford comeback especially)
