LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College volleyball team fell to visiting Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Randolph-Macon College 3-0 (9-25, 13-25, 11-25) on Saturday afternoon in the RAD Center.
In the opening set, the WildCats would even the score to 6-all but that would be the closest they would get before the YellowJackets stormed ahead on a 19-3 run to secure the win.
The second frame saw Randolph-Macon once again take hold of a large lead, pushing its advantage to 21-9. However, the WildCats managed to push a 4-2 run of their own to trim the deficit to 23-13 but back-to-back YellowJacket points gave Randolph-Macon the 2-0 edge.
Similar to the first two sets, the final set saw the YellowJackets jump ahead to a wide 22-9 margin. The WildCats were only able to collect two more points of their own before Randolph-Macon stymied Randolph and took home the final 25-11 win.
