WildCats Women's XC Finishes Sixth at ODAC Preview

BRIDGEWATER, VA – The Randolph College women's cross country team finished sixth at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Preview Meet. Bridgewater College hosted the 6K race on a brand new on-campus course that will also play host to the ODAC Championships at the end of October.

Taylor Rama was the first WildCat to cross the line, finishing 18th, with a new career-best of 26:58.  Dani Hill was the next 'Cat to stop the clock, with a 28th-place finish in 27:52.  Baylee Snead broke the tape shortly after, also setting a new PR of 27:59.

The final two point earners crossed the line around the same time.   Sophia Dill took 36th with a time of 29:00, and Sarah Reed followed one spot and 12 seconds behind to earn the final points for the WildCats.

"The meet went really well and we're very happy," said head coach Bill Cooper.  "Everyone improved since our last meet."

Randolph travels to North Carolina next week for the Adidas XC Challenge.  The 'Cats will run on the WakeMed Soccer Park Cross Country Course in Cary, NC with the race going off at 6 p.m.
