Janéa Jackson started the track and field season off in a great way, posting two personal bests at the first meet of the season.
The Fredericksburg, Va., native opened Randolph's 2014-15 slate in the weight throw on Wednesday.
In that event, she set a personal best mark, posting a mark of 12.06m on her first throw of the day.
In the second half of the two day event, Jackson was back in action in the shot put, improving on her own mark set last year.
In that event, she came up 0.03m short of the elusive 10m barrier, posting a distance of 9.97m.
